KUALA LUMPUR, July 27 — Economy Minister Akmal Nasrullah Mohd Nasir said Malaysia has sufficient food supplies, including rice reserves that can last six months.
He said the government will maintain the price of local white rice at RM2.60 per kg to ease the cost of living. Akmal added that prices of several essentials have declined.
Including chicken, ikan kembung and fresh coconut milk, while the government continues to diversify fertiliser sources and monitor dam water levels amid the current hot weather.
