KUALA LUMPUR, July 28 — Investment, Trade and Industry Minister Johari Abdul Ghani said 2,688 manufacturing projects worth RM318.5 billion approved between 2023 and March 2026.
Have been realised, creating 210,546 new jobs. Johari said 80.1% of the realised investments came from foreign investors, while 19.9% were domestic investments.
Penang, Kedah, Selangor, Johor and Negeri Sembilan accounted for more than 84% of realised manufacturing investments.
Overall, 3,847 projects worth RM427.9 billion have been approved since 2023 and are expected to create over 302,000 jobs.
