PETALING JAYA, July 31 — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has called for massive investment and stronger regional cooperation to accelerate Asean’s energy transition.
Saying governments alone cannot finance the shift to clean energy. Speaking at the Greater Bay Area (GBA)-Asean Conference on Energy Transition and Integration.
Anwar said collaboration between governments, private investors and developers is essential to expand renewable energy infrastructure.
He also highlighted the Asean Power Grid as a key regional initiative and called for deeper cooperation with China to strengthen energy security and economic competitiveness.
