KUALA PILAH, August 1 — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and PKR deputy president Nurul Izzah Anwar defended the release of the Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) report on Lembaga Tabung Haji (TH).
Saying the decision was driven by transparency and public accountability rather than politics. Anwar said the findings must be investigated openly.
With no protection for those found to have committed wrongdoing, while a special Dewan Rakyat sitting on Aug 11 will debate the report.
Nurul Izzah said the timing of the report’s release should not overshadow its importance, stressing that making the findings public allows Malaysians to scrutinise the report.
And helps safeguard Tabung Haji for future generations. She also urged Negeri Sembilan voters to continue supporting Pakatan Harapan in the state election.
