SEREMBAN, August 2 — Bersatu suffered its third consecutive electoral wipeout, failing to win any of the 24 seats it contested in the Negeri Sembilan state election under its own logo.
The defeat follows similar setbacks in the Johor and Sabah state elections. Party secretary-general Datuk Seri Azmin Ali said Bersatu would conduct a comprehensive post-mortem.
To review its performance and chart its future direction. Meanwhile, Wawasan vice-president Wan Saiful Wan Jan urged Bersatu members to leave what he described as a “sinking ship”.
And join his party, saying Malaysia needed a more stable and progressive political platform.
