GEORGE TOWN, August 2 — A long-term partial lane closure will be implemented along Jalan Sultan Azlan Shahin Gelugor from Aug 1, 2026, to Aug 1, 2029.
To facilitate construction of the Penang Mutiara Line Light Rail Transit (LRT) Project. The 24-hour daily closure will affect the right-most lane towards Komtar between the shop lots and GIAT MARA.
And the two right-most lanes towards Bayan Lepas between Masjid Jamek Sungai Gelugor and the shop lots. Other lanes will remain open as utility relocation.
Bored piling, pier construction and related works are carried out. Motorists are advised to follow traffic signage and instructions from on-site traffic personnel.
