SEREMBAN, August 2 — Barisan Nasional (BN) and Perikatan Nasional (PN) have claimed an unofficial victory in the Negeri Sembilan state election.
Saying the alliance has won 25 of the 36 seats contested to form the next state government. BN chairman Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said the coalition would begin discussions.
On forming the new administration before turning its attention to the upcoming Melaka state election. The unofficial results also indicate major setbacks for Pakatan Harapan (PH).
With reports that DAP secretary-general Anthony Loke lost Chennah, while caretaker Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun was defeated in Linggi.
The Election Commission’s official results had yet to be announced at the time of writing.
