KUALA PILAH, August 3 — Datuk Ismail Lasim has been sworn in as the 12th Menteri Besar of Negeri Sembilanfollowing the BN-PN alliance’s victory in the state election.
The seven-term assemblyman for Juasseh took the oath of office before Yang Dipertuan Besar Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir at Istana Besar Seri Menanti.
Succeeding Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun, who led the state for two terms. During the ceremony, Tuanku Muhriz reminded all elected representatives to place the interests of the state.
And its people above political or personal considerations. A lawyer by profession, the 63-year-old Ismail previously served in several state executive council portfolios.
And is expected to focus on forming the new State Executive Council and advancing Negeri Sembilan’s socio-economic development.
