SEREMBAN, August 5 — Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar Datuk Ismail Lasim has defended his appointment, saying it was carried out in accordance with the state’s constitutional procedures.
He was responding to remarks questioning the process of his appointment following the recent state election. On his first day in office, Ismail also revealed that the state government is considering.
Introducing Deputy Executive Council (Exco) positions to strengthen the administration and accommodate assemblymen from BN, PAS and Parti Wawasan Negara.
He said the number of posts has yet to be finalised, with the new Exco line-up expected to be announced by Friday or Monday.
