GEORGE TOWN, August 5 — Penang Marriott Hotel officially unveiled its “Moonlit Heritage, Timeless Connections” mooncake collection, celebrating the upcoming Mid-Autumn Festival.
With an afternoon of heritage, craftsmanship and culinary experiences. The launch featured a traditional hands-on mooncake-making workshop.
Allowing invited guests to create their own handcrafted mooncakes under the guidance of pastry specialists from Flourlab, Penang’s food research, product development and OEM innovation hub.
Among the invited guests was Malaysian actor and artist Jordan Voon, who joined the interactive workshop and experienced the mooncake-making process alongside members of the media and invited guests.
Participants also enjoyed a premium tea appreciation session and cultural performances, offering an immersive introduction to the traditions behind the Mid-Autumn Festival.
While showcasing the artistry involved in producing handcrafted mooncakes. The “Moonlit Heritage, Timeless Connections” collection features four signature flavour.
Inspired by Penang’s multicultural heritage: Pandan Paradise with Golden Yolk, Imperial White Lotus with Golden Yolk, Sweet Harmony Honey Longan, and Nutritious Red Dates.
The elegantly designed gift box reflects Penang’s rich cultural identity, making it suitable for festive gifting, corporate appreciation and family celebrations.
The collection is available at a special early bird price of RM198 until Sept 10, before reverting to the standard retail price of RM238 per box.
Mooncake collections begin from Aug 24 and continue until Sept 25, allowing customers to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival with a premium Penang-inspired festive experience.
