GEORGE TOWN, August 6 — The George Town Literary Festival (GTLF) 2026 has unveiled its programme highlights and international line-up under the theme “Cosmopolises”.
Exploring cities as spaces of cultural exchange, diversity and shared histories. Organised by Penang Institute, the festival will take place from Nov 27 to 29 at Wisma Yeap Chor Eeand Bangunan U.A.B.
Featuring 53 writers, poets and speakers from 20 countries and territories. Programme highlights include “Letters of the Penang Diaspora”.
Youth engagement initiatives, literary discussions, workshops, performances and the announcement of the Penang Monthly Short Story Prize 2026 winners.
