GEORGE TOWN, August 6 — Police have launched a special operation to track down a lone suspect believed to be linked to a series of crimes reported in Tanjung Bungah between July 28 and Aug 2.
The four cases involve housebreaking, robbery, trespassing and theft, with two incidents resulting in losses of about RM17,000.
The Northeast District Police said the suspect acted opportunistically and stressed that the area’s security remains under control.
Police have increased early morning patrols and urged anyone with information to come forward to assist investigations.
