NIBONG TEBAL, August 7 — A total of 26 rural micro entrepreneurs from Seberang Perai Selatan took part in the TEK-UPP programme, an initiative supported by the Penang State Government.

To strengthen entrepreneurship through digital transformation. Organised by Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), the two-day programme equipped participants with practical skills.

In digital marketing, branding, WhatsApp Business, Facebook, TikTok Business, digital catalogues and promotional content creation. The programme also introduced a monitoring system.

To track participants’ digital adoption and business performance, with early results showing several entrepreneurs successfully recorded online sales within a week of completing the training.
