PUTRAJAYA, August 8 — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said learning additional languages such as English, Mandarin, Tamil, French and Russian should not be viewed as undermining Bahasa Melayu.
Stressing that the national language remains the government’s priority. Anwar also announced that Form Six will remain under the Education Ministry, with schools encouraged to recognise it.
As a pre-university programme through separate facilities and arrangements. He added that Form Six students will continue receiving government financial assistance.
