TAIPING, August 10 — Perikatan Nasional (PN) is open to negotiating with Barisan Nasional (BN) over seat allocations, including possible seat swaps, ahead of the Melaka state election.
PN chairman Datuk Seri Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtarsaid. Samsuri said formal discussions have yet to begin, but sufficient time remains before the state assembly is dissolved.
BN chairman Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has also expressed willingness to negotiate, while stressing that seats previously won should be respected.
Samsuri said any agreement should ultimately prioritise the formation of a stable state government.
