KUALA LUMPUR, August 11 — Malaysia is targeting one million affordable homes by 2035 under the new National Housing Policy 2026–2035.
Launched by Housing and Local Government Minister Nga Kor Ming. The policy includes Rent-to-Own, Shared Ownership and fixed-rate mortgage options.
Alongside plans for a Residential Tenancy Act and stronger homebuyer protection. It will also promote data-driven housing planning, transit-oriented development.
Greener construction and more inclusive homes for senior citizens and persons with disabilities.
