KAMUNTING, August 11 — Sheng Long Aqua Technology (M) Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of China’s Guangdong Haid Group, has broken ground on its first aquaculture feed manufacturing facility.
In Malaysia with an initial investment of approximately RM140 million. Scheduled to begin operations in 2028, the Perak facility will feature two shrimp feed and two fish feed production lines.
With an annual capacity of 150,000 metric tonnes. The project is expected to create more than 100 jobs while strengthening Malaysia’s local aquaculture supply chain and reducing dependence on imported feed.
The facility will also serve as Sheng Long’s key manufacturing and technical service hub in Malaysia, supporting aquaculture farmers through feed production, technology and technical expertise.
