PETALING JAYA, August 11 — PKR’s Wong Chen has confirmed his resignation as Member of Parliament for Subang, effective 5pm today.
Wong said he met Dewan Rakyat Speaker Johari Abdul on Aug 5 and submitted his resignation letter, giving parliamentary officials three working days to prepare for the vacancy.
He said both sides had agreed not to disclose details until the resignation took effect. Wong added that the “Yang Berhormat” honorific.
Will be removed from his billboards, signage and correspondence by next month. He is expected to provide further details on his decision at a press conference on Wednesday at 11am.
