PETALING JAYA, August 12 — Perikatan Nasional’s negotiations with Barisan Nasional over the upcoming Melaka state election will not involve Bersatu, PN secretary-general Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan said.
Takiyuddin said discussions have yet to begin and arrangements could differ from the recent Negeri Sembilan election due to Melaka’s different political landscape and seat distribution.
Separately, he said PAS has received no approaches or offers to join the federal unity government, adding that the party will wait for the outcome of DAP’s Aug 16 national congress.
Where delegates are expected to decide whether DAP should remain in government.
