PUCHONG, August 13 — Bersama has recorded a surge in membership applications following the Negeri Sembilan election, bringing its membership to about 29,200, party leader Rafizi Ramli said.
Rafizi said 60% of members have no previous political affiliation, while 25% are former PKR members and another 15% came mainly from other Malay-based parties.
Former Subang MP Wong Chen officially joined Bersama today and will oversee preparations for the party’s upcoming Kertas Kancil policy papers, covering its 12 key agendas.
Bersama also announced its first seven spokespersons as the party expands its leadership structure. Rafizi said internal party elections are expected within six to seven months.
