GEORGE TOWN, August 15 — DAP adviser Lim Guan Eng has disputed Penang PH chairman Chow Kon Yeow’s suggestion that delegates did not object to continued cooperation with Umno.
Lim said Wednesday’s closed-door DAP meeting focused solely on whether the party should remain in the federal government, not Umno’s role in Penang.
He argued that delegates’ silence should therefore not be interpreted as endorsement of Penang PH’s position.
Lim suggested Chow convene a separate internal meeting to gauge delegates’ views on continued cooperation with Umno in the state government.
