MERU, August 15 — A small fire involving solar panels at Notion Venture in Meru was quickly contained by factory workers on Wednesday afternoon.
Firefighters received an emergency call at 1.13pm and arrived nine minutes later. The fire affected about 1% of a 300-by-50-foot solar panel area without damaging the factory structure.
Workers used three CO2 fire extinguishers to control the blaze before firefighters arrived. An inspection by the Kapar Fire and Rescue Station confirmed the area was safe, with no casualties reported.
