BUTTERWORTH, August 16 — Penang Pakatan Harapan’s decision to continue working with Barisan Nasional was reached by consensus among all component parties, state PH chairman Chow Kon Yeow said Saturday.
Chow said DAP, PKR and Amanah presented their respective positions before the state PH Leadership Council agreed to maintain the partnership.
He said Penang DAP chairman Steven Sim conveyed DAP’s position, while state leaders from PKR and Amanah expressed the same stand.
Chow was responding to DAP adviser Lim Guan Eng’s proposal for another meeting to gauge Penang DAP delegates’ views on Umno’s role in the state government.
