SERDANG, August 26 — Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim said a proposal to conduct a forensic audit of Felda will be brought before the Cabinet for consideration.
The proposal follows Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi’s call for a forensic examination to determine whether abuse of power, breach of trust or governance failures contributed to Felda’s financial losses.
Zahid said a conventional management audit would not be sufficient given the scale and long-running nature of the problems. A special task force is separately investigating Felda’s management issues.
Anwar previously said its findings would be presented before being made public.
