PUCHONG, September 3 — Bersama will unveil a shadow budget on Oct 6 outlining its proposals on taxation, government revenue and spending priorities, party leader Rafizi Ramli said Wednesday.
Rafizi, a former economy minister, said the document would allow Malaysians to scrutinise the party’s fiscal proposals and determine whether its programmes were financially realistic.
He also called for greater scrutiny of the cost of political parties’ election promises. Bersama will begin releasing its “Kertas Kancil” policy papers on Sept 27, covering economic, political and social reforms.
The federal government is scheduled to table Budget 2027 in Parliament on Oct 9.
