SEPANG, September 3 — Sun Phu Quoc Airways has launched daily direct flights between Phu Quoc and Kuala Lumpur, expanding air connectivity between Malaysia and Vietnam.
The service, which began Sept 1, operates with a 236-seat Airbus A321neo. Tourism Malaysia said the route would provide travellers from Phu Quoc and southern Vietnam.
With easier access to Malaysian destinations while offering Malaysians another direct option to the Vietnamese island. Vietnam remains an important tourism market.
With Malaysia recording 156,747 visitor arrivals from the country in the first half of 2026. The new service also supports Malaysia’s Visit Malaysia 2026-2027 tourism campaign.
