GEORGE TOWN, September 4 — The route from Gat Lebuh Cecil towards the Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu Expressway will temporarily close for three days to facilitate utility relocation works.
For the Penang Mutiara Line LRT project. The closure will begin at 10pm on Sept 4 and remain in place until 5am on Sept 7.
Motorists heading towards the expressway can use Jalan C.Y. Choy, Lebuh Katz, Jalan Gudwara, Lebuh Macallum and Gat Lebuh Macallum as an alternative route.
The slip road from Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu Expressway into Gat Lebuh Cecil, near SMT System Metal Technology, will remain open.
Traffic signs, cones and flagmen will be deployed, while motorists are advised to exercise caution through the affected area.
