PUTRAJAYA, September 6 — Malaysia is strengthening cooperation with China and ASEAN through new tourism and education initiatives, including Muslim-friendly travel, artificial intelligence and digital learning.
At the ASEAN-China Tourism Dialogue in Langkawi, the Islamic Tourism Centre (ITC) established partnerships with Chinese tourism and hospitality players to promote Muslim-friendly destinations, training and service standards.
ITC also partnered with Dorsett Hospitality International to expand its Muslim-Friendly Tourism and Hospitality Assurance and Recognition programme to properties in Chengdu, Shanghai and Wuhan.
Days later, Malaysia joined the China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week in Guiyang, where discussions focused on AI, digital education and skills development.
