GEORGE TOWN, September 7 — Families facing childhood cancer need emotional, financial and practical support alongside medical treatment, CRISO founder Wendy Wong said on Sunday.

Speaking at the organisation’s childhood cancer awareness programme, Wong drew from her own experience accompanying her child through injections, chemotherapy and medical tests.

She said parents often struggle with fear and unanswered questions while trying to remain strong for their children. Wong said CRISO was established to ensure families do not have to face that journey alone.

She also paid tribute to children who died from cancer and praised survivors who completed their treatment journey. “Every child’s story deserves to be remembered and seen,” she said.
