CUPERTINO, September 13 — Apple has introduced AirPods 5 with upgraded Active Noise Cancellation, improved sound quality and new Apple Intelligence features.
The earbuds use a redesigned multiport acoustic architecture and next-generation Adaptive EQ, with Apple claiming up to 50% more noise reduction than AirPods 4 with ANC.
Users can access Siri AI hands-free, respond using head gestures and use Live Translation with compatible Apple devices.
A US$149 version adds wireless charging, on-stem volume controls and up to five hours of playback with ANC. The standard AirPods 5 start at US$129, with store availability beginning Sept 18.
