GEORGE TOWN, September 15 — Air Putih assemblyman Lim Guan Eng has challenged Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi to make the same call in Penang.
After daring Pakatan Harapan to remove Umno from the federal government. Lim said Penang’s PH administration would retain its two-thirds majority without Umno’s two assemblymen.
He accused Umno of playing a “duplicitous role” by remaining in the state government while cooperating with the opposition.
Lim also urged Penang to defer increases in government charges, quit rent, water tariffs and parking rates, saying the move could ease public concerns and restore confidence.
