BATU KAWAN, September 16 — Penang Pakatan Harapan chairman Chow Kon Yeow said Lim Guan Eng’s call to remove Umno from the state government does not represent DAP’s official position.
Chow, who is also Penang chief minister, said no party directive had been issued and the existing cooperation would remain for now.
He said PH leaders should await a decision from the coalition’s Presidential Council and follow decisions made by the top leadership.
Lim had challenged Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi to call for Umno’s removal from Penang after Zahid challenged critics to remove the party from the federal government.
