GEORGE TOWN, September 16 — Pesta Pulau Pinang will move to Kubang Menerong this year after about 50 years at its traditional Sungai Nibong grounds, the Penang government has clarified.
The month-long event will run from Dec 1 to 31, with the new location offered by the Penang Regional Development Authority (PERDA).
The state apologised for an earlier announcement that incorrectly identified Padang Menora as the venue.
The Sungai Nibong grounds have been closed to facilitate development linked to the Mutiara Line LRT and a proposed transit-oriented development.
