KUALA LUMPUR, September 16 — Takaful Malaysia recorded RM2 billion in takaful revenue for the first half of 2026, up 7% from RM1.8 billion a year earlier.
Profit before zakat and tax increased 6% to RM305.6 million from RM287 million. Family takaful revenue rose 5.7% to RM1.16 billion, supported by higher contribution releases and increased coverage.
General takaful posted stronger growth, with revenue rising 16.1% to RM806.7 million, mainly driven by the motor segment. The group said it will continue expanding retail distribution.
