PUTRAJAYA, September 17 — Malaysia will offer a new 250MW renewable energy quota under its Feed-in Tariff programme for 2027, targeting RM3 billion in investment.

The Energy Transition and Water Transformation Ministry said the quota covers 30MW of biogas, 120MW of biomass and 100MW of small hydropower projects in Peninsular Malaysia and Labuan.

Online bidding will run from Feb 3 to March 24, 2027. The programme is expected to create more than 5,000 direct and indirect jobs, with approved projects potentially supplying green electricity from 2030.
