PUTRAJAYA, September 18 — Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Ibrahim has granted former prime minister Najib Razak conditional clemency.
Allowing him to serve the remainder of his SRC International prison sentence under house arrest until Aug 23, 2028.
The Legal Affairs Division of the Prime Minister’s Department said the decision was made during the 64th Federal Territories Pardons Board meeting on Friday.
The clemency is conditional on Najib paying a RM50 million fine and complying with all conditions imposed during his house arrest.
If he breaches any condition, the clemency will be revoked and he must immediately return to prison to complete his remaining sentence.
