PETALING JAYA, September 19 — Former Umno Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin said Najib Razak’s conditional pardon could have political implications for Pakatan Harapan, particularly DAP.
Speaking on his Keluar Sekejap podcast, Khairy noted that some DAP figures had previously described Najib’s release as a “red line”.
However, he said DAP could argue that it had conveyed its position while the final discretion rested with the Yang di-Pertuan Agong.
DAP’s Central Executive Committee is meeting Saturday to determine the party’s position and follow-up action after Najib was allowed to serve his remaining SRC sentence under house arrest.
