SHANGHAI, September 23 — Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim is meeting about 21 Chinese industry leaders as Malaysia seeks new high-value investments during his working visit to China.
Anwar will hold a business roundtable in Shanghai before travelling to Hangzhou for meetings with Huawei, Alibaba Group, Geely, ZTE and AgiBot.
He is also attending WorldSkills Shanghai 2026, where Malaysia has 22 competitors across 21 skills categories.
China has remained Malaysia’s largest trading partner for 17 consecutive years, with bilateral trade reaching RM456.68 billion between January and August 2026.
