GEORGE TOWN, September 23 — Former Penang state assemblyman Ahmad Radhi Pachee died on Tuesday at the age of 95, according to a death notice issued by Masjid Al-Huda Sungai Ara.
Election records show Ahmad Radhi represented Barisan Nasional under UMNO when he won the N.16 Telok Bahang seat in the 1978 Penang state election. He received 4,413 votes, or 52%.
And won by a majority of 1,865 votes. He served as the Telok Bahang assemblyman from 1978 until 1982, when Yahaya Ahmad succeeded him.
Records also show Ahmad Radhi remained involved in community organisations after his political career, including serving on committees of Koperasi Tunas Muda Sungai Ara.
According to the death notice, funeral prayers were scheduled after Zohor prayers on Tuesday, with burial arrangements handled by Masjid Al-Huda Sungai Ara.
