SEREMBAN, September 24 — The revocation of 10 Negeri Sembilan state executive councillors’ appointments has been officially gazetted, formalising the decision effective Sept 20.
The gazette cites Article XXXVIII(5) of the state constitution, under which exco members other than the Menteri Besar hold office at the Ruler’s pleasure.
It states that the 10 members breached the pledge of allegiance they took before Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir on Aug 7.
The development comes as Menteri Besar Ismail Lasim continues to dispute their removal and maintains that the previous exco remains valid.
