KUALA LUMPUR, September 26 — Malaysian horror drama Khadam is expanding across Asia following a domestic box office run that exceeded RM5 million.
Directed by Shamyl Othman, the film opened in more than 120 cinemas across Malaysia and Brunei on June 11, earning RM1.2 million during its opening week.
Following releases in Cambodia and Singapore, Khadam will open in Indonesia on Sept 16 and Hong Kong on Oct 8. Produced by Komet Productions and Red Communications.
The film blends supernatural beliefs rooted in Southeast Asian culture with drama and horror. Its international distribution rights are now being offered worldwide.
