KUALA LUMPUR, September 30 — Former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad has been admitted to the National Heart Institute for observation following the death of his wife, Dr Hasmah Mohd Ali.
His son Mokhzani Mahathir said the 101-year-old was admitted Tuesday after experiencing a stressful two days but was doing well and there was no cause for concern.
A spokesman for Mahathir also said he was resting at IJN. Hasmah died Monday at age 100 and was given a state funeral before being laid to rest at Pusara Negara in Putrajaya.
