KOTA BHARU, September 30 – Rising cable theft and vandalism in Kelantan could trigger major telecommunications outages, a regional Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission official warned Wednesday.
MCMC Eastern Region senior director Mohd Fairus Muhamad said damage to shared infrastructure could simultaneously cut services across multiple telecommunications providers.
