KUALA LUMPUR, October 3 — Tenaga Nasional Berhad will provide pro-rated credits in October bills following the government’s decision to raise the household electricity protection threshold from 600kWh to 800kWh.

Customers who used between 601kWh and 800kWh in September will receive adjustments covering the Automatic Fuel Adjustment, RM10 retail charge and 8% service tax.

Those using 600kWh or less require no adjustment because they were already protected, while customers exceeding 800kWh are eligible only for a service tax adjustment.

The expanded protection applies to domestic consumption of up to 800kWh monthly through Dec 31, 2026.
