BAYAN LEPAS, October 4 — Motorists can expect intermittent partial night lane closures along Jalan Permatang Damar Laut from Oct 8 as preliminary works continue for Penang’s Mutiara Line LRT.
The closures will run from 10pm to 5am until Dec 31, affecting selected leftmost lanes in both directions. Affected stretches include Sendok Café to Masjid Jamek Kampung Binjai.
Towards Bayan Lepas, and Bayan Emas Apartment to M Summit Inovasi towards Batu Maung. Other lanes will remain open.
The closures will facilitate utility detection and relocation under the Mutiara Line’s CMC1 package, with traffic management measures deployed throughout the works.
