KUALA LUMPUR, October 5 — Malaysian and Taiwanese theatre artists will join forces for “The Ghosts Within”, a contemporary adaptation exploring family secrets, power and inherited morality.
Produced by Pentas Project and W Productions, the play is written by Taiwanese playwright Chien Li-Ying and directed by Loh Kok Man. The cast brings together Taiwan’s Nelson Shen and Clara Lee.
With Malaysian performers Yeo Lyle and Siew Thung. Inspired by Henrik Ibsen’s “Ghosts”, the production relocates its themes of family conflict and social expectations into a contemporary Asian setting.
Six Mandarin performances with English surtitles will run at Pentas 2, klpac, from Nov 12 to 15, with post-show discussions after every performance.
