GEORGE TOWN, October 8 — Penang has identified seven priority projects under the Second Rolling Plan 2027 of the 13th Malaysia Plan for federal consideration.

The list includes groundwater mapping, the Penang STEM Talent Blueprint and a proposed public market complex in Teluk Kumbar. Infrastructure proposals include upgrades to flood-control systems.

Bukit Tambun’s FT149 and the FT001 stretch between Permatang Tinggi and Sungai Juru. The Sungai Kelang Ubi flood mitigation scheme in Seberang Perai Tengah is also included.

Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow said the seven proposals were among 10 priority projects submitted by the state, but stressed they remain under consideration.
