KUALA LUMPUR, October 9 — The government has increased the allocation for Sumbangan Tunai Rahmah (STR) and Sumbangan Asas Rahmah (SARA) to RM16 billion under Budget 2027.

Compared with RM15 billion previously, as part of efforts to ease the rising cost of living. Prime Minister and Finance Minister Anwar Ibrahim announced that all STR recipients will receive SARA assistance.

Of up to RM150 monthly, equivalent to RM1,800 annually, benefiting as many as nine million recipients. Malaysians aged 18 and above who are not STR recipients will receive two RM100 SARA MADANI payments.
