KUALA LUMPUR, October 9 — Sabah and Sarawak will receive a combined RM34.9 billion in federal allocations under Budget 2027, with both states recording increases of RM1.1 billion compared.
With their respective allocations this year. Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim announced that Sabah’s allocation will rise from RM17.6 billion to RM18.7 billion.
While Sarawak’s allocation will increase from RM15.1 billion to RM16.2 billion. The government also reaffirmed its commitment to the Malaysia Agreement 1963.
Highlighting an interim special grant amounting to RM1.5 billion and ongoing negotiations to determine a fair and sustainable annual payment formula. Other measures include doubling Public Service Department.
Sponsorship opportunities for Sabah and Sarawak students, benefiting 4,200 students annually, alongside RM3.3 billion for road projects across the two states.
