GEORGE TOWN, October 10 — Motorists travelling along Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah will face intermittent daytime lane closures in both directions until Dec 31 to facilitate construction of Penang’s Mutiara Line LRT project.
The closures, which began Oct 3, operate between 9am and 4pm, affecting the left lanes between Dynacraft Industries and B. Braun Medical towards Komtar.
The opposite direction will see restrictions between Robert Bosch Malaysia and Cortex towards Bayan Lepas, although other lanes will remain open.
The works involve tree removal, drainage relocation and road widening, with traffic personnel and safety measures deployed throughout the construction period.
